Terms of Service

Agreement

By using HushStats ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We keep these terms short and readable on purpose.

The service

HushStats provides privacy-first web analytics. You add a tracking script to your website, and we show you aggregate traffic data (pageviews, visitors, referrers, etc.) through a dashboard. We don't collect personal data from your website visitors.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You're responsible for all activity under your account.
• One person or organization per account. Don't share accounts.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the tracking script on websites you don't own or have permission to manage
• Resell the Service without written permission
• Send automated traffic to inflate analytics numbers

Plans and payment

• Free plans are free. No credit card required. We may limit features or capacity.
• Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe.
• You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.
• Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We don't offer refunds for partial months, but we won't charge you after you cancel.
• If you consistently exceed your plan's pageview limit, we'll ask you to upgrade. We won't cut you off without warning.

Data ownership

• Your analytics data belongs to you.
• We don't sell, share, or rent your data to third parties.
• We don't use your data for advertising or profiling.
• If you delete your account, we delete your data. Permanently.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee 100% availability. We run on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which is reliable, but things break sometimes. We won't be liable for any losses caused by downtime. We'll do our best to communicate outages and fix them quickly.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we'll try to give you notice and a chance to export your data, unless the violation is severe (e.g., illegal activity).

Limitation of liability

HushStats is provided "as is." We do our best to make it reliable, accurate, and useful, but we don't warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll notify account holders by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
